Swindon's Level 3 nightclub will be All Shook Up this weekend when Elvis in Trouble create their exciting stage tribute to the king of rock 'n' roll.

The Elvis band got together in 2014 when Darren Boyce, who plays the king, joined Max Hunt on keyboards and Nick Bevan on bass guitar. Today the line-up also includes Dean Robinson on drums, Clive Read on guitar and Tina Lewis vocals.

Darren first fell in love with the music of Elvis Presley through his grandmother who was a huge fan. He remembers singing Blue Suede Shoes for her when he was just seven, but it was his dad who really spurred him into music. "He used to sing in the truck on the way home from work,'' said Darren.

Max, former sound engineer for Albert Lee and Hogan's Heroes, Caravan and Curved Air, is classically trained on piano but also plays piano accordion, guitar and percussion. He has worked with numerous famous names including Alan White drummer with John Lennon and Yes, and has appeared on television on the Richard and Judy show.

Dean was a drum major in the Marine Cadets as a youngster and grew up to play drums with Style Council's Mick Talbert and become a regular on the West End theatre circuit working on stage scenery, music, sound and lighting.

Clive has also worked with some top names in the industry including Brian Robson from Thin Lizzy and Adam Wakeman from Yes and Ozzy Osbourne's band.

All the musicians bring a passion for recreating the sound and glittering performance of an Elvis concert to the Swindon stage. Tickets to see the show in the Commercial Road nightclub are £8.50 from 01793534238. - Flicky Harrison
