A TEENAGER banned from driving has been given a further ban after being caught behind the wheel again.

Johnny Farley, 19, of The Bungalows, appeared before magistrates in Swindon on Wednesday and pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance.

Just before midnight on July 6, he got behind the wheel of a Honda Civic, which he had recently bought through Facebook, and he was spotted by police on Cricklade Road.

Farley, who hasn’t passed his driving test, was already serving a ban that was set to end in early 2017.

Magistrates gave him an 18-month disqualification, a 12-month community order and told him to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work – on top of the other 120 hours of unpaid work he has still to do from previous driving offences.

He was fined £120 for driving without insurance, told to pay £85 towards prosecution costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
