TRY your hand at falconry, marvel at the agility of the dog displays and get all steamed up over classic cars, dancing tractors, steam engines, motorbikes, penny arcade, fairground organ and steam-driven galloping horses at the annual Gloucestershire Vintage and Country Extravaganza.

The vintage tea tent has1940s entertainment including Lindy Hop dancing and the Steamed Up Brass Band.

More than 700 classic cars and a host of steam engines are on show including the engine driven by Sid James in the 1953 British comedy film, The Titfield Thunderbolt, about a group of villagers trying to keep their branch line operating after British Railways decided to close it. Also on show is the Lister Fire Truck, originally based at Listers in Wroughton, Swindon.

The main countryside arena has ferret racing, rare breeds, animal conservation, alpacas, shire horses, horse logging, sheep shearing and children’s pony rides.

The show is organised by the Stroud Vintage Transport and Engine Club and runs from tomorrow, until Sunday, August 7 at South Cerney Airfield, Cirencester. Tickets in advance are £8 adults and £4 children, on the door £10 and £5. More details from www.glosvintageextravaganza.co.uk
