A FLAT-CAPPED thief is sought by police following a series of burglaries in Cricklade high street.
Among the incidents, which all happened between midnight and 5am from August 2 to 8, were break-ins at the Barista Coffee Shop and James Family Butchers. Cash was taken from both businesses.
It is believed someone also attempted to break in to The Club in the High Street overnight between August 7 and 8.
PCSO Joseph Tedder said: “We are carrying out a thorough investigation into these burglaries, which we believe are linked.”
The suspect is described as white, male, of average height and of slim to medium build. It is believed he was wearing a flat cap and white long sleeved jacket.
He added: “I’d like to hear from anyone who believes they may have seen someone matching this description in the High Street during the night or in the early hours of the mornings between 2 and 8 August.”
