A POP-UP wedding shop is set to appear in the Brunel Centre at the weekend offering a host of bank holiday bargains including wedding dresses for as little as £50.

The fundraiser is being organised by Marie Curie, the UK’s leading charity for people living with a terminal illness, and the shop will be stocked with a huge range of new (ex-display) wedding dresses and accessories.

New dresses from designers including Alfred Angelo, Mori Lee and Maggie Sottero will be on sale as well as bridesmaids’ dresses and accessories.

The shop will also have ‘vintage’ and ‘pre-loved’ sections which will enable shoppers to save thousands of pounds on the cost of a wedding.

Money raised will help Marie Curie provide care and support to people living with a terminal illness.

Daryl Bigwood, eBay manager at Marie Curie, said: “We’ve just finished sorting the last of the dresses and I can assure you there are many great items to be had.

"The whole team are really eager to get going on Saturday and we would advise people to get there early for the best buys. We are hoping that we can make some brides-to-be very happy.

“I’d also like to say a big thank you to the Brunel Shopping Centre for all their support so far in helping us make this event happen.”

Jacqui Woolley, retail director at Marie Curie, said: “This is a great opportunity for any bride-to-be to bag that all important stunning dress at a bargain price.

“We’re delighted to have such a beautiful range of items on sale at this first ever Marie Curie bridal boutique.

"The one-off pop-up shop will raise vital funds to help our nurses care for more people living with a terminal illness and their loved ones.”

The shop will open from 9am on Saturday, August 27, and close at 2pm on Monday, or until all the stock is gone.

Also on offer will be a range of bridesmaid/evening gowns, cocktail dresses, dress suits/mother of the bride, clearance items, children’s clothes, and a well-stocked men’s section.

All the stock for this event has been donated to Marie Curie and the charity is always keen to receive donations of clothing and accessories.
