THE A361 has now been reopened following the two car crash on the Bishops Cannings roundabout this afternoon.
TWO men have been rushed to hospital following an accident on the A361 at the Bishops Cannings crossing has closed the road on the edge of Devizes.
Drivers are being warned to avoid the area as we understand the road has been closed at the Bishops Cannings crossing just outside of Devizes.
Wiltshire Police received a call at 1.07pm reporting the accident in Shepherds Shore on the Bishops Cannings crossing.
The two cars, a Mitzubishi and a Lexus, collided on the stretch of road at the crossing, injuring both as a result. The driver of the Lexus suffered from a broken leg and has been airlifted to hospital while the driver of the Mitzubishi has sustained whiplash and a leg injury.
Fire service spokesman said they had been called to the scene just after 2pm. Two fire crews, one from Devizes and one from Marlborough, are currently dealing with the accident.
The Lexus, which caught fire, was being dealt with by the fire crews who were using breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to fight the blaze.
