HOLLYWOOD actor Bill Murray is moving to Swindon - if a parody website is to be believed.

The article written on website Landry Post has been shared by dozens of Swindonians.

It claims that in a magazine interview the 66-year-old American said the people in Swindon are ‘the most genuine he’s met.’

“I know it sounds kind of crazy but it’s something that I’ve been thinking about for a long time,” Murray said, according to the site.

“I’ve visited Swindon, England a few times over the years and the people there have always seemed like the most genuine and sincere people I think I’ve ever met and most of them had no idea who I was which is kind of a great thing sometimes, to be honest.

“No place is perfect but Swindon just feels like home to me and it’ll be a nice change from what I’ve been used to.”

However all the quotes are fictional and there is no truth at all that the father-of-six, who starred in Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day and more, is planning to uproot from his abode in Charleston, South Carolina to Swindon.

Landry Post describes itself as an entertainment website composed of articles containing fantasy news or satire.

“None of the articles on landrypost.com should be considered true and are simply meant for entertainment purposes,” it says.
