A MOTORIST from Swindon has told BBC Wiltshire how he was "really frightened" when he discovered three suspected migrants had broken into his campervan.

He was approaching the French port of Calais in the early hours of Monday morning when he said two men and a woman broke into his vehicle and hid.

"I just stopped for five minutes for the toilet and a coffee, got back to the camper and noticed something was different but I didn't realise anyone was inside," he said.

"I started driving along and where they'd broken in the window was flapping in the wind.

"So I pulled onto the hard shoulder and found two migrants in the back of the camper hiding in the toilet, and one behind me in the bunk bed above the cabin."

He added that after a "heated argument" the three people left and he reported the incidents to police patrols when he arrived at Calais.
