THE BOYZ are back in town.

Due to popular demand, all-male dance company BalletBoyz returns to the Wyvern tomorrow night with Life.

The production, which received its world premiere at London’s Sadler’s Wells in April features new commissions by Javier de Frutos and Pontus Lidberg, each taking an elegant, powerful and often humorous look at life and death and set to an original scores by Henryk Görecki and Ben Foskett.

BalletBoyz was founded by artistic directors and former Royal Ballet principals Michael Nunn and William Trevitt in 2001 and immediately shook up the dance scene. After close to a decade fronting the company and performing across the world to great acclaim, the pair retired from the stage in 2010. Far from the end it was only the beginning of a new era for BalletBoyz. Michael and William launched project Talent and selected eight young male dancers from a variety of backgrounds and nationalities to pick up the baton. They worked with them closely, mentoring and coaching them to create a company of first-class performers. Now in its fifth year, the rebranded company counts ten dancers and regularly tours the globe. In 2013 BalletBoyz won the National Dance Award for Best Independent Company.

The current troupe features Jordan Robson, Harry Price, Marc Galvez, Simone Donati, Matthew Rees, Edward Pearce, Matthew Sandiford, Flavien Esmieu and Bradley Waller.

BalletBoyz will be at the Wyvern Theatre tomorrow at 7.30pm. Tickets are £21.50. To book visit swindontheatres.co.uk or call the box office on 01793 524481.

The company will perform at the Theatre Royal Bath on Sunday, November 6 at 7.30pm. To book go to www.theatreroyal.org.uk.
