THE COUNTDOWN to the festive season has well and truly begun and our shopping lists are getting longer by the minute. But don't panic, you'll be able to tick a few things off at Steam's Step into Christmas event.
It will be gifts galore at the museum this weekend with no fewer than 50 market stalls scattered around the locomotives and displays. Because it wouldn't be Christmas without a little sing-song, Pegasus Brass, Swindon Male Voice Choir, Kentwood and Thamesdown Ladies Choirs will put crowds into the festive mood with some carols.
In a cosy fireside setting inside Hawksworth Hall, children will get to join Santa for a special storytime before receiving an early present.

Tickets to the event are available on the door. Entry is £3 per adult or two adults for £5.
Children and seniors £1. Children under three go free.
