TEN lucky people from Swindon are set to have their lives transformed with the help of three dedicated life coaches.

Volunteers from fitness programme Swindon Biggest Loser are currently on the hunt for candidates to take part in a gruelling six-week challenge that will see them lose weight, negativity and any demons that haunt them.

Organiser and former Pride of Swindon Ricardo DeFazio, 32, said: “This is one last little thing of the year that I want to do to help people.

“It’s all about making people healthier and helping them to achieve a better balance within themselves. We can raise people’s confidence levels and in turn they will hopefully inspire others. This is life changing – the real deal in my eyes.”

The programme will mix intense fitness routines with expert nutrition advice and holistic coaching from a therapist experienced in meditation and spiritual growth.

Around 70 people have already signed up and the team is encouraging more to apply, though only ten will eventually be chosen before the programme starts in early 2017.

Ricardo said: “The application process is quite in-depth. That way we can find out everything we need to know to tailor the experience to suit the individual.

“We will sit down and go through each individual case in order to get an idea as to what people’s strengths are.

“The first couple of sessions will be light workouts. But it’s all about discovering what people are good at and how we can get the best out of them.”

Siobhan O’ Connell will take care of the fitness and nutrition side of things while Richard Jones applies his spiritualist techniques to help the candidates find their inner Zen.

The lucky ten will be expected to give their time for three two-hour fitness sessions each week, and four hours of nutrition and meditation coaching.

All of this will be provided to the candidates for free.

Ricardo added: “The Biggest Loser isn’t just about losing weight. It’s about losing your old self and replacing it with a new self – a better one, all with our guidance. Those chosen will show us 110 per cent commitment and in turn we will give the same.

“We will teach people how to control their minds and deal more easily with day to day life. We will help with all the stresses in life that are linked and interconnected.

“I’m really looking forward to getting started.”
