A woman had to be taken to hospital after a man punched her in the face, knocking her unconscious.
Wiltshire Police have now issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward following the incident at Regent Circus.
It took place at around 2am on Sunday December 18 when an unknown man punched the 19-year-old-woman to the face while she was waiting outside the Central Library, opposite Meca, knocking her unconscious. She was taken to the Great Western Hospital and was released the next day without any serious injuries.
The suspect is described as being Asian in appearance, in his late 30s/early 40s, 5ft 6 inches tall and of medium build.
PC Simon Sanghera said: "This was a particularly nasty attack.
"If you heard or saw anything suspicious in this area at this time, please come forward and contact me."
