YOUTHS who hurled a bottle of booze at a bus, smashing a window are being sought by police.

The incident started after a bus being driven along Eldene Drive at 6.15 on December 28 had to stop for a man who was on a crossing and refused to move.

He was goading the driver, who climbed out and asked him to get out of the way. When he returned to the cab the bottle was thrown at the side window, smashing the glass.

Police believe it was thrown by one of a group of youths who were with the man. No one was injured but CCTV pictures have been released of people officers would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

PC Jack Newman said: "This happened close to the Morrisons store on Eldene Drive, so someone should have seen something.

"Perhaps you were shopping at the time and heard or saw something suspicious around this time - if so please contact me.

He added: "Also, if you recognise anyone in the CCTV images please come forward."

Anyone with information can call PC Newman on 101, email CPTNorthSwindon@wiltshire.pnn.police.uk or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
