A MAN faces trial by judge and jury over charges of sexually abusing a young boy and girl 40 years ago.
Derrick Roberts is said to have repeatedly molested a six-year-old girl in 1976 and 1977.
And the 62-year-old is also said to have abused a lad between the ages of nine and 12 between 1969 and 1973.
Roberts, of The Circle, Pinehurst, pleaded not guilty to five counts of indecent assault and three of indecency with a child when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.
Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case for a trial on Monday, April 24, and released him on bail until then.
