A JACK Russell puppy that vanished after his owner's car came off a bridge and overturned has been found safe and well.
Four-month-old Peanut disappeared after 21-year-old Charlotte Rotton's blue Fiat Punto flipped near the B4696 Lydiard Plain yesterday morning as she drove from her home in Braydon to Marlborough.
After what Charlotte called 'the most terrifying, stressful and tear-filled 24 hours' Peanut was found hiding in a hedge, just down from the crash site.
Charlotte posted a joyful photo of the pup, looking none the worse for wear after his 24 hours in the wilderness. He is now being checked over at the vets.

Peanut was in the boot of the car when it crashed and was either thrown from the car or crawled out after it crashed.
Charlotte and her family stayed the night at the crash site with food and a warm bed in hopes of coaxing the frightened pooch out.
Dog-lovers from across the town rallied round Charlotte in the wake of Peanut's disappearance, using the hashtag #bringpeanuthome.
