DRIVERS are facing delays this lunchtime following a serious crash on the Great Western Way.
The incident happened around 11am just before the junction 16 roundabout opposite the Lydiard Fields Hilton.
Officers from Wiltshire Police initially closed the road to allow paramedics to access the scene but some traffic has since been allowed through.
An ambulance and a fast response vehicle from the South Western Ambulance Service responded to the scene.
The details of any casualties have not been released at this stage.
One lane of the road was open as of 11.40am but traffic is moving slowly and there are tailbacks as far back as the Mannington roundabout.
We have since received reports that the road is open and all traffic is moving freely.
