A Swindon theatre company will be having a laugh to raise funds that will go towards the aid efforts in Aleppo.
Quirky Bird’s Comedy Fundraiser brings together a mix of classic sketch comedy, improv theatre, lip sync battles and community panto.
Anna Friend, artistic director, said: “The ladies from WBRA will be performing sketches from French & Saunders and Victoria Wood and there will be giggles from the members of Closer Each Day Improv Theatre, - think Whose Line Is It Anyway?”
Anna herself will be going head to head in a lip sync battle with Jamie Carter and there will be a performance by Swindon’s The Institute of Complementary Comedy. The finale is Pantomonium, the community panto featuring local actors and non-actors.
Quirky Bird’s Comedy Fundraiser is at Riffs Bar, Greatfield, near Hook on Saturday, January 28, from 7.30pm. Tickets can be booked from www.wegottickets.com/quirkybirdtheatre
