THIS year will see the first ever Brighter Futures Easter egg hunt and family fun day.

Held at the Swindon Rugby Club in Greenbridge on Sunday, April 9, the Easter eggstravaganza will see a whole host of fun activities for all the family to enjoy.

From face painting to wacky inflatables, kids will be entertained for hours. And all the proceeds will go straight to the radiotherapy appeal.

Brighter Futures’ Chloe Thomas said: “It should be a really good day, we’re all very excited. There will be a raffle, tombola and lots for the parents to do while the kids are having a good time. We will have a bar and plenty of food will be on offer.

“There will also be prizes for the best dressed and plenty to keep everyone entertained.”

The fun kicks off at 10.30am and the Easter egg hunt will get under way at 11am. Entry and parking will be free.

The team is also on the lookout for companies to donate Easter eggs to be used in the hunt.

Chloe said: “We just ask for a £2 donation for each child to take part in the egg hunt. We will keep going until they completely run out of eggs.”

For those thinking about taking part in this year’s fundraising activities, Brighter Futures have a packed calendar of events set for 2017 including the London to Amsterdam challenge and fundraiser’s favourite Ride for Radiotherapy.

And, for all those talented chefs out there, there’s always A Meal to Remember, which will offer people the chance to show off their cooking skills with family and friends by hosting a breakfast, lunch or dinner party.

A Brighter Futures spokesman said: “Fundraising is an exciting way to use your skills, talents and expertise. It can get you out of your comfort zone, doing something that you'd never normally do.

“If you already have some fundraising planned, please register with us. When you register, we'll send you our fundraising pack which is packed with helpful information. And one of our Fundraising Managers will be in touch to give you all the support you need with getting your fundraising off the ground.”

So far £1,424,725 has been raised for Brighter Futures. The team is very grateful for every single donation and wish to thank everyone for their support.
