THE first Swindon-built Honda Civic models have been unveiled for a sneak preview in the town this week.

A selection of the 10th generation models in both manual and automatic transmission are being showcased at Fish Brothers Honda at Bridgemead so that potential customers can go along to view and take a test drive.

The Honda Civic is made down the road from the dealership in Swindon and exported world-wide.

UK customers will be able to choose from either a 129PS or 182PS turbo-charged petrol engine when the car goes on sale in late March.

This latest Honda Civic builds on the notable success of past models and is the result of the largest research and development project Honda has ever undertaken.

The new model is billed as having greater refinement than ever before and is said to be more exciting to drive due to the new engines.

Alan Noble, dealer principal at Fish Brothers Honda, said: “The Honda Civic has always been a strong seller for us but the latest generation model has really moved the game on substantially.

"With its sporty driving, class-leading space and advanced safety, the all-new Honda Civic is a compelling buy. It even comes with the latest in advanced connectivity.”

The new Honda Civic arrives in Fish Brothers Honda’s showroom having already claimed a prestigious award. The high-performance version of the Civic, the Type R, took the highly acclaimed What Car? Award for the most anticipated car of 2017.

This is an award voted for by the thousands of readers of What Car? magazine and marks out the hot hatch Civic as the most eagerly anticipated car of the year.

Customers interested in viewing and test driving the all-new Honda Civic are invited to contact and visit Fish Brothers Honda in Ashworth Road.
