A 33-year-old man who met a child less than half his age after sexual grooming has been warned he is facing a jail term.
And Robert Jones also admitted trying to meet a second youngster he believed to be under age and possessing almost 2,000 indecent images of children.
He met a 13-year-old girl following grooming during a week in April last year and tried meet up with another girl he believed to be under 16 in September and October.
When his computer was examined he was found to have 1,992 indecent images of children, more than half in the worst category.
Jones, of Leighton Avenue, pleaded guilty to meeting a child after grooming, attempting to do the same and making indecent images of children.
Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case until Tuesday, April 18, so probation and psychological reports can be compiled.
Remanding him in custody until then he said: "Obviously a custodial sentence is the likely outcome of this offending."
