A UNIQUE family theatre piece is on its way to Swindon's newly opened Shoebox theatre for a special performance on April 1.

Alf the Highwayman which won Best Children's Show at the Shaftesbury Fringe last year in a brand new story created by the company Brave Bold Drama.

The professional Bristol-based theatre company has also recently become a finalist in both Arts and Education categories of the Bristol Life Awards 2017.

The show will have many opportunities for audience members big and small to join in and even play a part in the show.

At the end of the performance everyone will have the chance to go onto the stage to explore the set, try on the costumes and even learn to make a paper boat to take home.

The story centres around Alf who has an eye for other people's possessions. Especially belongings of sentimental value. He snatches and grabs without a thought for other people’s feelings.

But it's time for him to change tack and learn that there are better ways to play.

Alf the Highwayman can be seen at the Shoebox Theatre, at 10.30am. Suitable for all ages.
