REVIVAL Productions, organisers of the Bowood Proms weekend in August, have announced they will be supporting the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust as their partner charity this year.

The Trust, who provide a free home security service for older and vulnerable people living in Wiltshire and Swindon who have become or are at risk of becoming victims of house crime or domestic abuse, will receive £2 from every ticket sold and £1 from every programme sold over the weekend.

The Bowood Proms weekend will be kickstarted on Saturday, August 5 with Classic Ibiza, where Bowood will play host to the county's largest open-air classical dance party. Urban Soul Orchestra and DJ Goldierocks will take charge of the stage, playing some of the biggest tunes from the last 20 years, starting with a chill out set ramping up into a full club-mode set by the last evening.

Bowood will then host the Great British Prom the following day with music from across the four nations being played throughout by the National Symphony Orchestra and joined by renowned artists and choirs.

“We wanted to partner with a local charity and The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust provides invaluable help to elderly, vulnerable and disadvantaged people in the area who have been victims of, or are considered to be at risk of, house crime, hate crime, domestic abuse or fire," Lisa Ward of Revival Productions said.

Visiting over 1,200 homes every year to carry out full security and fire risk assessments, the Bobby Van trust focus on making each and every client feel safe in their own home.

Jennie Shaw of The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust said: “We are delighted to have been selected as the partner charity for these fantastic concerts at Bowood House in the summer. Funds raised at the concerts will be used to make sure the most vulnerable in our community are safe and secure in their own homes.”

Tickets for both concerts are £35 or £38 on the night. For more information or to buy tickets visit www.revival-productions.co.uk or call the event box office on 01630 674342.
