A judge has adjourned the case of a man who admitted plundering tens of thousands of pounds from work.
David Russell was due to face sentence after admitting fraud and a money laundering offence.
But after the 28-year-old failed to attend for the hearing at Swindon Crown Court a judge put the matter off for a month.
Russell abused his position as a member of sales staff at Vastern Timber in Royal Wootton Bassett to take £43,910.93.
And he also transferred money to a gambling website during the eight months to the start of July last year.
Russell, formerly of The Crown, Tolldown, Dyrham, near Chippenham, but now living in Cardiff, admitted both matters when he appeared before magistrates.
Judge Robert Pawson adjourned the case to Friday April 21 and extended his bail in his absence.
