A HEARTBROKEN dog-owner is appealing for help after his miniature schnauzer mysteriously disappeared in Coate Water.

Five-year-old pooch Lotte was on a regular walk in the country park with her owners David Mobey and Kerry Hanks around 1pm on Tuesday, March 28 when they lost sight of her as they turned round a bend.

Lotte is salt and pepper coloured with tinges of brown in her beard.

David said: “We were walking towards the bridge and Lotte was walking behind us sniffing at things as she usually does. We turned a corner and I called her. Usually she will run straight for me but there was nothing. I called her and called her then searched and there was no sign of her anywhere."

Despite hours of searching, Lotte was nowhere to be found, leaving her owners gravely concerned for her fate.

David said he was thinking of Lotte constantly.

He said: “She is such a sweetheart and we miss her very much. I’m welling up now because I am so worried about her. Lotte is my dog and she always follows me around so it is very sad that she isn’t here at the moment.

“She is so friendly and loving that she would let someone pick her up so I am very concerned that this has happened. We just want her home."

Lotte has been with the couple, who live in Moulden View for 18 months and has a canine sister Florence who is missing her.
