A MAN allegedly found living inside an abandoned pub will face trial next month.
Homeless Lewis Opoku, 36, appeared before magistrates in Swindon yesterday.
He pleaded not guilty to trespassing into The Cricketers pub on Emlyn Square last month intending to live there.
He also denied stealing eight women's watches, a pair of men's trainers, a tub of rum and raisin ice cream and a bottle of Shiraz wine from Tesco on Ocotal Way on April 13.
On the same day, Opoku is also alleged to have assaulted a police officer and behaved disorderly in public.
He was remanded in custody and will face trial at Chippenham Magistrates' Court on May 11.
