SWINDON 105.5 is looking to relaunch a popular evening show.

The town’s award-winning community radio station ran a successful weekly show called “The Late Gig” for eight years. It is now looking to re-start the show at its Liden studios and is seeking a couple of presenters keen on promoting and broadcasting music.

Swindon 105.5 station manager Shirley Ludford said: “At Swindon 105.5 we believe in promoting live and local music, musicians, singers, songwriters.

"We’re looking to give an opportunity to a couple of new individuals who have a keen interest in promoting local music, could be musicians or singers themselves.

“They could be people who would like to record at music events, invite musicians in to the studio, play new tracks and local tracks.

"We would welcome anyone with broadcast experience – or interest in attending a training course to learn about radio broadcast presentation and production.”

This opportunity could suit anyone over the age of 18 - as they may go to music events - someone who has either been in the music business for some time or has retired and would like to develop new interests.
