FIRE crews from Stratton and Swindon this morning tackled a blaze at Roves Farm, Sevenhampton.

Emergency services were called to the family farm at 8.54am to extinguish a fire involving three tonnes of wood chips.

High pressure hose reels were used and by 10.45am the situation was under control.

The fire was described by a spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue as "accidental", though it's not known exactly how it started.

Luckily nobody was injured.

A spokesman from Roves Farm confirmed that the incident had been been a minor one and that they are still open as normal.
