SWINDON'S popular music festival is back for the bank holiday weekend.

The celebration of dance music culture in the town SMF 2017 (Swindon Music Festival) brings together over 100 local acts from many genres across the board.

Held at Boston Brothers, Bridge Street, on Bank Holiday Sunday from 12pm - 1am, the event promises to be bigger and better for the largest artist link up in Swindon history.

SMF will be bringing together artists from all genres of music within the Swindon area for what is being billed the biggest party of the year.

Downstairs the venue will be dedicated to house, techno, garage, dance and bass from DJs Mr Nash, 2 Badd, Ciaran Boast and many others.

Upstairs will have a line up of DJ’s and MC’s playing the full spectrum of drum and bass, jungle, dubstep, grime and everything else in between.

The backyard will see urban brand Playtime hosting Play Time Party, providing the crowd with one of their renowned lively parties where there will also be a free barbecue as well as music from R 'n' B acts, hip-hop, garage, reggae, Afro beat, soul and urban with a mix of MC Ranks, Jada Funk Paul Carroll, Terrorist Nuclear and the Platinum Gold Cru.

One of Swindon's most-credible hip-hop bands, Lyricology will showcase in the garden.

Established in 2009 Lyricology will bring together all the local heads of hip-hop to provide an all round showcase of rapping.

While over in the Acoustic Corner, there will be a crop of local artists and bands who will be bringing an acoustic flavour with melodies, catchy sing alongs and clever lyricism
