CELEBRITIES will be storming into Swindon next month to have a kick-about at the County Ground and raise money for a good cause.

Two teams featuring stars from EastEnders, The Only Way Is Essex and the X Factor will go head to head to fundraise for the Make Some Noise initiative on Friday, May 19.

The event is being held in Swindon for the second year in a row and many of those who took part last time have come back for more.

Famous faces, including EastEnders star Jake Wood, former EastEnder Dean Gaffney, model and footballer Calum Best, X Factor star Stevi Ritchie, and former TOWIE star Dan Osborne, will be getting their boots on for the big game.

The gates open at 6.30pm for a 7.30pm kick-off.

Other well-known celebrities playing in the match include Wayne Bridge, Jamie O’Hara, Jeff Brazier, MC Harvey, and Austin Armacost.

The event is being organised by Heart Radio and the game will be hosted by its popular breakfast show presenters Ben and Mel.

Ben said: “We had so much fun last year we are so pleased to bring it back.

“The game promises to be a celebrity riot so grab your selfie stick as showbiz meets football.”

Mel said: "Make Some Noise is truly amazing, our listeners have made a huge difference to the lives of young children.”

The event is supported by Swindon Wildcats and Tree Nightclub.

Hundreds turned up to last year’s event to watch the teams battle for glory.

And many fans got a rare chance to chat to the reality TV and soap stars, pose for a selfie, and get an autograph.

Media giant Global created Make Some Noise in 2014 to offer a voice to small charities which are doing inspiring work to help disadvantaged youngsters but which are struggling to be heard.

Global’s been using its many brands, including Heart, Capital, Classic FM, and Radio X to raise money and awareness for dozens of projects.

In its first three years, Make Some Noise has raised nearly nearly £6m and raised awareness of 135 charities and projects around the UK.

Earlier in the month, it awarded £41,300 to Swindon Down’s Syndrome Group to help them provide quality speech therapy.

Standard tickets are £7 a person. Special Match, Eat ‘n’ Greet tickets are £35 each.
