A 48-YEAR-OLD Swindon motorist has been banned from driving for almost four years after he was found to have more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his breath.
Kevin Liston of Milling Close, Swindon, changed an earlier not guilty plea to guilty when he appeared before Cheltenham magistrates.
He was driving his BMW 316Ti Compact on Spine Road, South Cerney on January 5 when he committed the offence, the court was told.
He was found to have 82 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35 micrograms.
Liston was disqualified from driving for 44 months, given a 12-month community order and fined £450.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £350.
