FOOTBALLER Lloyd Jones has had his bail extended for an alleged assault at a Cheltenham nightclub while on-loan at Swindon Town last month.
The 21-year-old was arrested in the early hours of Sunday, March 12, having been an unused sub at Vale Park, a game which Swindon lost 3-2 to Port Vale.
Swindon Town confirmed to the Advertiser this morning that Jones has since returned to his parent club, Liverpool, having originally signed on a season-long loan from Anfield.
Jones was due to answer to police bail today, regarding the alleged assault at a nightclub in Regent Street, Cheltenham, but a spokesman from Gloucestershire Police confirmed that he has had his bail extended until May 29, pending further enquiries.
