Carl Hutcheson's Half Nelson had him on the ropes as far as a career in wrestling went, but his off the canvas quips stood him in good stead as a comedian.

Carl created a whole comedy show on his attempts to become a professional wrestler called Learning the Ropes, and he is still a huge fan of WWE. He even supported the three times heavy weight champion Mick Foley on sell out UK tours.

Jumping out of the ring for his next show Carl becomes The Fixer looking at all those tiny everyday issues, the irritating nuisances that pop up in everyone's lives, and how to stand up to them.

He is currently in the middle of a UK tour and drops in to Swindon's Arts Centre on Friday, May 26.

Carl has supported TV comedian Chris Ramsey on various nationwide tours and also appeared as his guest on the Chris Ramsey Show (Comedy Central).

The comedian's debut Edinburgh Fringe solo show, Acceptable, was shortlisted for the Amused Moose Laughter Award and he has notched up the Magners Pub Comedian of The Year award and the Beat the Frog World Series Competition.

Carl will be fixing a smile and heading for Swindon's Old Town theatre from 8pm. Tickets are £14.50 (inclusive of booking fee) on 01793 524481 or visit www.swindontheatres.co.uk. - Flicky Harrison
