PASSENGERS planning on travelling by train this weekend are being warned to expect significant disruption this weekend as Network Rail takes advantage of the bank holiday weekend to carry out engineering work.
Throughout the weekend from Saturday to Monday, all trains running to, from or through Swindon will be amended.
Trains between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads will not call at Didcot Parkway, Swindon or Chippenham. Rail replacement buses will run between Reading, Swindon and Chippenham and between Didcot Parkway, Swindon and Bristol Parkway.
Between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads there will be two high speed trains each hour, and one between Swindon and Cheltenham Spa each hour.
Rail replacement services will operate between Reading and Swindon - two coaches each hour, one of which continues to or starts from Chippenham.
