A FIRE broke out in the top floor flat of a three-storey block on Tuesday afternoon.
Crews from Swindon and Stratton raced to the property in Charminster Close just after 1pm following concerns that people may have been trapped in the flat.
On arrival, the crews found that all people were accounted for.
Four breathing apparatus wearers used two hose reel jets, a covering jet, a thermal imaging camera and air monitoring equipment to make sure the blaze was put out safely and had not spread to any adjoining flats.
Well done to the team for a swift and professional response, we're all working together to make our communities safer and stronger #OneTeam https://t.co/JX1piAWMeH
