EMERGENCY services were called to a popular town centre gym after reports of an assault this afternoon.
South Western Ambulance Service were seen outside Kiss Gym in Princes Street at around 2.40pm where a man was found with cuts to his face and hand.
One rapid response vehicle and one ambulance attended the scene before the man was taken to Great Western Hospital.
Wiltshire Police confirmed they had received reports of a man in his 20s being assaulted by two other men around 2.30pm.
One suspect left the scene on a scooter.
Sergeant Max Whyte from the town centre policing team said: "We have begun an investigation into this assault which was witnessed by a number of members of the public.
"We are very keen for anyone with mobile phone footage of the assault or any information about the people involved to contact Wiltshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
