A NEW store from one of the UK’s largest family-run retailers will open in Swindon on Saturday.
Home Bargains is investing approximately £600,000 in the store in Hobley Drive which will be officially opened at 8am.
The company is creating up to 50 new jobs and it will be the first Home Bargains store in Swindon, joining over 400 outlets across the UK.
Home Bargains, which is opening approximately 50 stores a year, is bucking the trend in the industry.
Joe Morris, operations director at Home Bargains, said: “We’re thrilled to be launching our first store in Swindon and look forward to welcoming new customers through the doors.”
The 13,000 sq ft unit on the former Aldi site will offer shoppers a range of products, including homewares, health and beauty essentials, sweets, snacks and drinks.
Joe added: “The new store on Hobley Drive will be a great location for us.
“We are proud to be able to offer local people top-branded goods at exceptionally low prices.”
