THE latest phase of the Tadpole Garden Village development has been unveiled by Crest Nicholson.

Plans for The Mews, a collection of 37 homes, were revealed by developers earlier this week as the on-going evolution on North Swindon continues apace.

The Mews’ 37 homes will consist of two bedroom apartments and two, three and four bedroom houses, all of which will be available through the Government’s Help to Buy scheme and start from £195,000 or £156,000 under Help to Buy.

A spokesman from Crest Nicholson said: “The Mews is the latest phase of the popular Tadpole Garden Village development, continuing to reflect the Garden Village Principles of established earlier phases.

“With gorgeous tree-lined avenues, surrounded by large green spaces, Tadpole Garden Village is a unique place to call home and perfect for those who enjoy an outdoors lifestyle.

“The development brings together town and country living to create homes surrounded by greenery and local amenities.

“Residents are on the doorstep of over 149 acres of green space, playing fields and newly opened allotments. And with a school, sports facilities and eight children’s play areas to choose from, this is an ideal place to raise a family.

“Demand for high specification homes at Tadpole Garden Village has been high, and we look forward to welcoming potential buyers to our sales and marketing suite.”

The news comes three years after the opening of the first phase of houses on the site formerly known as Tadpole Farm.

The development is one of Swindon’s major housing projects and will eventually see 1,700 homes built in the north of the town.

On Monday, plans were unveiled for a brand new primary school and nursery in Tadpole Garden Village.

The new two-form entry primary is part of the council’s plan to facilitate the building of two free secondary schools, a further secondary school and 12 primary schools to meet the needs of the town’s increasing population.

The proposal will be subject to a successful planning application and it is hoped an education provider will be sought to run the school by the autumn.
