An Old Town care home raised £370 for charity, as staff, patients and their families enjoyed soaring temperatures for their summer fayre.
Staff at Westwood House, a care home on Belmont Crescent that supports ten people with learning disabilities and mental disorders, were raising money for Headway. The national charity helps people who have experienced brain injuries.
A tombola, raffle and various stalls selling sweets and bric-a-brac crowded into Westwood House’s beautiful gardens.
Rachel Hall, senior support worker at Westwood House, said: “It’s absolutely fantastic. It’s been a brilliant day. Everyone has pitched in to help.
“We choose a different charity each year. Headway is something that was very close to one of our staff member’s heart.”
