A WOMAN in her twenties was assaulted by other two other females in an underpass near the bus station in Swindon town centre yesterday.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the event, which happened around 1pm in the underpass between The Parade and the bus station.
“This appears to be an unprovoked attack in the middle of town in broad daylight,” said PC Rebecca Weaver.
“There would have been lots of people around who would have witnessed this - if that was you please come forward.
“Also, I would like to speak to anyone who gathered around during the assault and who spoke to the victim afterwards.”
After the incident, members of the public spoke to the injured woman, who suffered bruises to her face.
Anyone with information should contact PC Rebecca Weaver on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
