Threatening another person with a knife cost a 14-year-old boy a 12-week curfew, 24 hours of reparation work and a three-month ban from Lydiard Park as part of a year-long rehabilitation order.

The boy, who cannot be named because of his age, admitted having a knife in Sudeley Way on June 7 and threatening someone, assaulting his victim and assaulting a police officer.

A charge of robbery was dismissed by Swindon Youth Court on June 27.

He was ordered to undergo a weapons programme and pay £150 compensation.
