TWO men have died after a light aircraft crashed in a field near Marlborough last night.
Emergency services were called at 6.30pm following reports that the aircraft had crashed in a field at Brimslade.
It is believed that eemergency services and Wiltshire Air Ambulance were on the scene within 10 minutes.
The air ambulance couldn't land until firefighters created a safe zone by burning a square of crops.
This morning, Wiltshire Police have said that two men were confirmed to have died at the scene.
Formal identification has not yet taken place.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch are leading the investigation into the incident, which is involving several teams at the moment.
It is not thought that the men are from the area and investigations will include sketching the site and using drones.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: "Our thoughts are with the families of those involved in this incident at this difficult time."
