The shelves have been cleared - and they have only been on sale for two days.
Morrisons' new £1 foot-long sausage roll has been snapped up by eager shoppers in the town since going on sale on Tuesday - with all three of Swindon's supermarkets reporting empty shelves at lunchtime on Wednesday.
The national retailer's stores at Regent Circus, Haydon Wick and Dorcan Way said that they expected deliveries of the 'snack' later on Wednesday afternoon.
At one foot long - and weighing in at nearly half a kilogram - the sausage roll is double the length and four times the weight of some high street competitors' offerings. Each one has an astonishing 1,650 calories.
