PARTS of The Parade were sealed off by police earlier today following reports of an assault.
Police were called to the town centre at 2.30pm by the ambulance service as paramedics were treating a man with a head injury following an assault.
The man, in his 40s, was taken to the Great Western Hospital for treatment.
The walkway which had been sealed off was soon reopened and minimal disruption was caused to shoppers.
