HODSON Road in Chiseldon will be closed for three days from Tuesday in order to carry out patching work down the road's centre.

White lining and gully-clearing will also be carried out after the patching work is complete.

The B4005 will be shut from 9am on Tuesday August 29 and reopen at 6pm on Thursday August 31.

New kerbs will also be laid at the Hodson Road and Brimble Hill junction under two-way lights by the footway construction team.

While the road is closed, the gas board will start working on inserting a new gas main through the existing pipework from the junction of Hodson Lane and Hodson Road.

They will use the three-day closure to complete as much of their work as possible before the road is reopened and then revert to two-way lights.

The road closure will be clearly marked and diversion signs will be in place for the duration of the work.
