THE Calley Arms at Hodson hosted its second summer barbecue in aid of the NSPCC and raised £590 for the charity.
Sally and Jason Hillier opened their doors to the public for a day of summer fun for the event held in collaboration with Ian Underwood, chairman of Swindon and North Wiltshire NSPCC fundraising branch.
For a set price of £10, guests could enjoy an all you can eat barbecue, live music and an option to participate in the raffle, with a chance of winning a hamper.
Caroline Morgan, community fundraising manager for the NSPCC in Swindon, said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to Sally and Jason at the Calley Arms for hosting this event for us. They could not have done more to support NSPCC and everyone had a wonderful time.
“We’d also like to thank all the people who came along and bought a ticket and of course our local volunteers for organising these great events.”
