AN AUCTION promises to amuse bidders as it raises funds for a community-run swimming pool.
The town hall in Chipping Norton will open its doors for another night of fevered bidding and entertainment as the Auction of Promises returns to raise money for The Lido open-air pool on Friday, September 8.
Top lots this year include a brand new MINI for the weekend, a hot air balloon trip for two, a week in Tenby, festival tickets, meals in some of local eateries and more.
Usual auctioneer Jeremy Clarkson is unavailable this year, leaving 'celebrity' auctioneer Binkie de Sluice - a character created by comedian Jasper Blakeley.
