A 17-YEAR-OLD teenager was arrested in Eldene this morning after police carried out two drug raids.

Officers from the South Swindon Community Policing Team carried out the busts in the Bowleymead area in response to increasing reports of drug activity in the parish as well as anti-social behaviour.

The warrants related to the supply and distribution of drugs in the Eldene area and associated antisocial behaviour from this.

A number of officers attended the properties, where one resident was arrested.

A quantity of what is believed to be Class A and Class B drugs were found and seized by officers.

A 17-year-old local male was arrested for possession with intent to supply drugs and is currently being held at Gablecross Police Station.

Further proactive work will be taking place in future as police continue to target those who are involved in such activity.
