STAFF at Tesco’s Ocotal Way store are getting into the community spirit by hosting a charity spectacular.
Country music fans are urged to attend the Dolly Parton tribute night which takes place at the Moonrakers in Cricklade Road on October 7 to raise funds for Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation.
The charity extravaganza is being organised by Tesco’s community champions Sharon Blake and Michelle Hobbs.
Sharon said: “We have done tribute nights for charity before – Abba, Freddy Mercury and the Bee Gees – so this time we thought we would do Dolly Parton.
“It should be a fantastic night. We are hoping to get as many people along as possible. The more who come, the more we can support these two great causes and have a night to remember.”
Organisers are hoping to raise around £3,000 from the event.
Revellers will also be treated to a raffle and a disco.
Tickets cost £25 and can be bought from the customer services desk at Tesco’s Ocotal Way store or from the Moonrakers.
“For £25 people are getting a really good deal,” said Sharon.
“We are certainly looking forward to it.”
