POLICE are on the lookout for witnesses following a crash on the A419 last night. 

The incident took place shortly after 7.20pm just outside Blunsdon in the Cirencester direction.

A car collided with a recovery van causing it to then collide with another car.

As a result of the collision, a seven-year-old child was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with head injuries and two adults were taken to the Great Western Hospital.

The adults suffered minor injuries and the child has not thought to have suffered serious injuries.

Following the collision, the A419 was closed for approximately three hours while officers conducted their enquiries.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: "Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information regarding it, is asked to call us now on 101 quoting log number 300 of yesterday.

"Alternatively, information can be left anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
