STUDENTS will get exclusive discounts at top high street retailers for one night only next month.
The Student Lock-Down on Monday October 2 will feature exclusive giveaways, offers, discounts, and other goodies for all sixth-form, college, or university students with a valid student ID.
The two-hour event starts at 6pm and will give students a chance to buy big brands without breaking the bank.
Shops offering a 20 per cent discount include Dorothy Perkins, Burton Menswear, Footasylum, Miss Selfridge, Schuh, Topman and Topshop.
Students will also get a 15 per cent discount at recently-opened stationery shop Smiggle.
Debenhams is offering a 10 per cent discount on all items for shoppers who also have a store loyalty card.
Students can register for the event at a booth by the water fountain on Canal Walk.
They will then be given a wristband on the night which will allow them to receive all the discounts.
The event has been organised by inSwindon, which is in charge of managing Swindon's town centre.
Anthony Purcell, inSwindon Marketing Co-ordinater, said: “If you have a Student ID card then save the date for your diary.
"Students will be able to grab themselves a bargain and have fun at the same time.
